Shadow Splitter is a very easy to use powerful plugin made for Adobe Photoshop. It is a good habit to do all your color correction and retouching before using Shadow Splitter.

The best way to use the Shadow Splitter plugin is to shoot a product on a clean white background and follow these 2 rules.

1. Make sure you have a path named “Path 1” for your subject.
2. Flatten your file.

Now that you have followed those rules it’s time to explain what Shadow Splitter is doing. When you choose one of the plugin choices, your image will be split into layers.

1. The Subject Layer.
2. The Natural Shadow Layer.
3. A colored fill background or transparent background if chosen.

After the plugin runs and splits the layers it will name the shadow layer where you simply paint back your shadow in the layer mask. Every choice will save the file unless you choose the save and close feature.
